Going Live

I would absolutely die of a happy attack if I received an invite like this in the mail. These vintage book invitations are completely amazing. And I thought my invites were time consuming. See more here.

Our Invitations.are done. finally!
* Please excuse the poor picture quality. My camera pretty much sucks big butt.
This was, by far, the biggest project we have undertaken to date for our wedding but in the end we saved a lot of money without scrimping on our design aesthetic. We basically bought hoards and hoards of paper from my heaven, a.k.a. The Paper Source and designed everything else with Photo Shop. It was insanely time consuming but so worth it in the end because all of our guests received a pretty paper package that was 100% us. {And I was able to fit in kraft paper stickers which made me a very, very happy girl!}

Calligraphy for the Monetarily Challenged
Don't get me wrong, I am am all about beautiful calligraphy. It is oh so pretty paired with letterpress invites but at almost $2 an envelope, this here bride does not have that in the budget. Thats when I decided to get crafty and I found a font that happens to be free and is amazingly similar to those whimsical calligraphy styles I yearn for. Download it here.

If you are really feeling crafty, you can print it out very lightly on your envelopes then trace over it with a nice pen for that handwritten look.
