A Sunshine Party via Mrs. Lilien

It happens to look like the end of the world outside and there is no letup of snow insight so I'm thinking a Sunshine party is in store...

you know the kind where we blast the Beatles and drink pink fruity cocktails and pretend it's a warm summer day and not the middle of the worst winter in Boston's history (actually I don't know if that whole worst winter part is true but we'll just go with it). A big, fat thank you to Mrs. Lilien for brightening my weary winter spirits.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

I knew going into this whole East Coast living thing that Boston was going to be cold but I didn't know quite how cold until I had an hour long walk home in the wee hours of the morning. There was snow, there were freezing cold extremities and there was not an empty cab in site. Oh major FAIL. 

So before I hightail it to any bars in the upcoming months, you bet your bottom I'm going to be sporting some warm, fuzzy friends. And if you happen to frequent any local Boston watering holes, I'll be the short girl looking like a viking bag lady. And you know what?  I don't even care. All cuteness has been tossed out the window at this point cause baby, it's COLD outside!

Color Arranging

Inspired by pretty bookcases and lots and lots of color, I decided to take inspiration from these images...

 and turn one empty bookshelf and our gigantic collection of books into a pretty little work of art. A saturday well spent if you ask me.

We be Townies

It just so happens that the one square mile little neighborhood the Huz and I recently moved to is now the topic of a major motion picture. The Town is all up in our hood of Charlestown but I have yet to see a bank robber or Ben Affleck (in case you were wondering)

I can see the Bunker Hill Monument from my roof deck though. I mean the fact that the site of the first major battle of the American Revolution is less than a block from my house is sort of crazy, right? And I think that is way cooler than any movie star, well maybe not Jon Hamm (I sort of DIE for him)

Needless to say, go see The Town and let me know what you think. We are proud little newbie Townies.

New City and finally...New Apartment!

Finalllllly my husband and I can say that we actually live in Boston, as in we have the prettiest little place to call home. It is at the very tippy top of the cutest old building and it is perfection. The best part though? The roof deck and the insane views to be had up there. We already tested it out with friends and some prosecco and it lived up to all my expectations. 

A Few Days

forgive me while I take a few days to acclimate to my new home. We made it to Boston and everything is intact. Now I just need to get used to the hot, humid weather! I'll be back to regular broadcasting soon..very soon. promise.

Boston and back to regular posting

I am back from a wonderful trip to Boston. I finally got to wear a coat and wellies and it was sort of amazing. My husband and I are planning a Boston move in June and moving across country is rather daunting but those cute brownstones are calling our names.
