Get the Look: Romantic Boho

It's hard not to fall head over heels for Jen Huang's beautiful images. It's also hard not to be totally and completely inspired. As in a full blown bohemian extravaganza is the way to go for all things wedding. At least today it is. And if one were to partake in said extravaganza then surely the above attire is the way to go. Midsummer Dreaming

Jen Huang is one of my favorite image capturers ever. She has a way with the light, this one. It's the kind of photo taking that is equal parts gorgeous and insanely magical. so when she offered up the prettiest midsummer night's dream inspired shoot I ever did see, I of course jumped at the chance to share with you all. It's boho bridal musings at its best with wild, overgrown bouquets and a headpiece by Poppies and Posies that will make your inner hippie sing. I know mine is.

A Wildly Good-looking Wedding

and that's just the tip of the iceberg

Once in awhile a wedding comes along that whole heartedly knocks this girl's socks off. Case in point, this wedding by Jose Villa, that has left me totally and completely sock-less. It's signage that could kill a blogger with its cuteness, a color palette made to be pinned a million times over and don't even get me started on my ode to that beautiful bouquet. I am filing this baby away for vow renewal/ wedding do-over / Thirty-Third Birthday Bash or whatever comes first. done. end of story.

Moroccan "I Do's"

I'm all for a destination wedding but a destination wedding in Marrakech? Shut the front door. The aisle runners alone have me in fits of design envy. And then the way too cool for wedding school Mr. and Mrs. got to prance around Morocco with their photographers White Tea + Hey Day Photography and take even more awesome images.

Chin Chin

I love a good cocktail recipe. That's probably a given. My go to is Vodka Soda or Champagne anything but thinking I need to move these pretty numbers into the rotation this summer. A drink should look as good as it tastes in my opinion and these all fit the bill

You know the old adage, it's four o'clock somewhere. Or is it five? Noon?

Pretty weather (read 80 degrees in Boston last week) makes me want to do EVERYTHING outside, including eating, drinking and being ever so merry. If only I had a view like above, I might even sleep outside. They don't have bears at the beach, right? But alas I'm in Boston and it's back to a chilly 45 degrees so for now I'll stick to dreaming of bright, shiny, happy tablescapes perfect for sipping mojitos. Summer can't come fast enough.

we said I do

Feathered Friends

Have you heard? One of my most favorite image capturers in the whole wide world, the lovely Ms.Sarah Yates, has cozied up to other amazing photog friends for a brand spankin new team of fabulousness. All you upcoming Brides and Grooms, I'm talking to you. Believe me, Sarah Yates does a wedding good and I'm pretty sure these Birds are where it's at. I, for one, can't wait to see what comes out of Birds of a Feather. I think many a pretty picture is on the horizon.

i am the first one to admit that color is my crack and there isn't anything in my life that hasn't been touched by a splash of bright hues but I also have a major weakness for black and white. Photographs seem more breathtaking, outfits more chic, interiors more dramatic. And who doesn't die for breathtaking, chic or dramatic?
