Chin Chin

I love a good cocktail recipe. That's probably a given. My go to is Vodka Soda or Champagne anything but thinking I need to move these pretty numbers into the rotation this summer. A drink should look as good as it tastes in my opinion and these all fit the bill

1. Little Rose Spring Cocktail via Martha Stewart 

2. Lavender Mojito via Sugar and Charm 

3. Grapefruit Mojito via Martha Stewart 

4. Lime Sorbet Margaritas via Real Simple 

5. Blood orange Margarita via White on Rice

You know the old adage, it's four o'clock somewhere. Or is it five? Noon?

Pretty weather (read 80 degrees in Boston last week) makes me want to do EVERYTHING outside, including eating, drinking and being ever so merry. If only I had a view like above, I might even sleep outside. They don't have bears at the beach, right? But alas I'm in Boston and it's back to a chilly 45 degrees so for now I'll stick to dreaming of bright, shiny, happy tablescapes perfect for sipping mojitos. Summer can't come fast enough.

Speaking of Anniversaries

this is how we celebrate the Anniversary of I Do in the Lepperd household – with a nice cozy pair of Wicked Good Slippers from L.L. Bean. Sexy, right? With Chilly McFreezing Winter just around the corner and not a slipper in the house, we figured who needs fancy dinners or weekend getaways to Vermont? Instead lets indulge in fuzzy goodness for our toes. So order we did all while gulping down a nice big bottle of Cab. I mean it wouldn't be an Anni without wine, right?

In other news, I spotted quite the lovely Anniversary Party over on Oh Happy Day. 

Gorgeous cake, a little croquet and dinner with friends all captured by Leo Patrone. Sounds like my kind of party. Maybe next year we'll forgo the robe exchange (because robes are a natural progression from slippers, duh) and opt for a pretty party instead

Gilded Florals

As if flowers weren't insanely pretty on their own, their lovely factor soars through the roof the second they come within 5 feet of a gilded object.

And on another note, I think I may need to go to One Kings Lane-ics Anonymous. I really can't stop myself. But do you blame me? I'm pretty sure french bulldog bookends are a total necessity, right?

or an owl vase and a ceramic bird jar? I can think of a million uses for these

That jar will especially come in handy when Mr. Huz does me in for spending all of our money on frivolous housewares. Hey, at least my ashes will have a pretty, pretty resting place.

BHLDN Fall Preview

Those BHLDNers really know how to throw one kick ass party. The Fall preview in New York made for quite the shindig. We are talking loads upon loads of gorgeous dresses, shoes, accessories, (capes!)and a plethora of fab decor all rolled into one night of wedding wonderment. 

The Fall collection will be available starting August 4th and if you're a fan of texture and feathers galore like moi, you are in for a treat. Seriously will someone please rock that wavey shrug?  

Another fave was the pink, fluffy getaway moment at the back of this car. This needs to happen at your wedding.

 A big, HUUGGEEE thank you to Dana and the rest of the BHLDN crew for giving me a sneak peek of what's to come. The collection is spot on gorgeous and lucky us August 4 isn't too far off. I have a feeling feathers and bridal capes are going to be hot, hot, hot this year.

Fly Me Away

Today I'm dreaming of far off lands full of bright, exotic wonderment. You know somewhere where things like this are a daily occurrence...

But alas I am stuck simply gazing at images with just the right amount of zebra print and loads of color to tide my exotic musings over until I can hop on a plane to paradise. One thing is for sure, it makes Mondays a whole lot prettier.
