Big Deal
I completely agree and think this is genius as ceremony decor. Sometimes less is more. Check out the full wedding from Jonas Peterson on Once Wed. It's a good one.

Dressing Up the Dressed Down Look
I know this sounds absolutely crazy but I don't wear sweatshirts or sweatpants or anything of that nature. Nothing against them, I'm just more of a dressed up kind of girl. So much so that my husband practically humps my leg when I wear yoga pants. (He's a big fan of the laid-back sunday look)But this my friends, this I could rock and absolutely would rock in a heartbeat if it wasn't $365. Darn you rent. You get in the way of everything.

color makes everything better
It all started with this picture on Design Sponge. Love at first sight, I tell you. So I immediately went exploring for more and just as I had guessed – the whole house is bananas and right up my alley. Of course, the owner is a stylist by day so we all know her house is going to be mad cool.

Prettify Your Library
I am all about books, especially the really pretty ones so I of coarse have Neapolitan's fab recovered books on my really, really want list and since we have a huge wall of built in shelves (thank you old apartment from the 1800's), these are on the short list. After all, there is nothing worse than empty shelves. Scratch that, filling them with paperbacks might be slightly worse.

Peach Pizza Rocks My World
I just ran across this fab recipe on Poppytalk and I am for shiz making this tonight. I'm down, and the Huz is down so it looks like we are having Peach Pizza for dinner.
Peach, Basil & Escarole Pizza
your favorite pizza dough (homemade or fresh from a bakery/market)
2 T cornmeal
2 T olive oil
1/4-1/2 head of escarole, torn to bits
1 large handful of basil, torn to bits
your favorite pizza dough (homemade or fresh from a bakery/market)
2 T cornmeal
2 T olive oil
1/4-1/2 head of escarole, torn to bits
1 large handful of basil, torn to bits
2 peaches, cut into slices
flaky salt & freshly ground pepper
1/2 c mozzarella, cut into small chunks
Preheat oven to 425F. After your pizza dough has risen, use 1 tablespoon of olive oil to grease up a walled cookie sheet. I use my hands for this. Sprinkle sheet with cornmeal and then push out or roll out your pizza dough until it spreads to all 4 corners.
Evenly scatter escarole, basil and peaches over the top of the dough. Sprinkle with salt and a few good hefty grinds of black pepper. Add mozzarella over top and gently spill the remaining olive oil over top. Place in oven and heat for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese gets bubbly and the crust becomes golden. Slice and eat hot.
Ladies who Lunch
Now that I am on the east coast, I am THAT MUCH CLOSER to Sunday Suppers and their fabulous get togethers. It is definitely on the to do list. I only wish I had made it to this most recent gathering. Lunch, rooftop, Ashley Meaders' fabulous flowers and Nigella pods? SOLD.

A Girl's Best Friend
I don't need big rocks on my finger. Just hang them from every light socket and we will call it even. Buy them here.

Mad Martha
I recently had the pleasure of attending the Bestie's bachelorette extravaganza on Martha's Vineyard and completely fell IN LOVE with the island. And by love, I mean I absolutely will live there someday and have an art barn and maybe a dog or two. It is the cutest. Most of the pictures we took are not quite blog appropriate but I managed to capture a few water shots in between all of the debauchery.

Holy Dress Goodness
Oh be still my heart, I am in ruffle dress heaven right about now. This is something that the Huz definitely doesn't understand. I tried to liken it to a half naked Maxim cover and he sort of understood. Dress porn. That's what we have hear ladies. Dress porn.

Capital O Obsessed
While perusing through the latest House Beautiful, I came across these pretty little numbers from Etsy seller Jill Rosenwald. Clearly these need to grace the shelves of my new apartment, right? I mean how could I possibly resist such bright, cheery linkery.
